Nutbag at Shooting Range Tells Santorum ‘Pretend Its Obama.’

Sigh:

At a shooting range in Louisiana on Friday, an onlooker encouraged Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum to pretend the target he was firing at was President Barack Obama.

“Santorum is shooting a 1911 Colt,” Politico’s Juana Summers tweeted from the sheriff’s office shooting range in West Monroe. “Range master says ‘Well, it’s not your first rodeo.’ Someone here says ‘pretend its Obama.’”

Santorum Knows in His Heart that the Dutch Are Euthanized (w/ video)

Rick Santorum, Soda Jerk - Caricature

Remember a few weeks ago when Rick Santorum got into some hot water with the Dutch because he made a ridiculous claim that the Dutch euthanize their old folks willy nilly?  He claimed that old Dutch folks are so scared that they wear Livestrong bracelets (rimshot) that say “Don’t euthanize me bro!”

Well, of course it turned out that Frothenstein was full of fecal matter, but when you’re a wingnut, “fact” has no meaning.  In Wingnutsylvania, fact is merely whatever one happens to believe at the time:

If Only Santorum Were a Rich Man

“It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a poor man to enter American politics.” (Matthew 28:21)

Not much in Rick Santorum’s campaign resonates with me.

His stances on social policy swing back and forth between extreme and extremely offensive. His opinion that women shouldn’t serve in the military; or that gay people should just stop being gay; or that recreational sex is sinful; or that rape victims should be forced to give birth to their rapist’s child; or that contraception is Satanic; or that college is for snobs; or that institutions of enlightenment suck the faith from a man’s soul like a nasal aspirator sucks boogers from a baby’s nostril; or that the separation of church and state “makes me throw up”…

Touché.

But there is one Santorum rant that isn’t completely off base: his view that Americans, and American democracy, can’t be bought.

Obama is, in fact, in bed with the M.U.S.L.I.M. B.R.O.T.H.E.R.H.O.O.D.

Rick Santorum recently told Fox “News” host Greta Van Susteren that “The president was willing to jump in bed with the Muslim Brotherhood in Libya and in Egypt….”

It’s true. President Obama actually was wrestling around between the sheets with the M.U.S.L.I.M. B.R.O.T.H.E.R.H.O.O.D. long before he officially took office.

But who cares? What’s so bad about the “Moral, Unwaveringly Sane, Liberty-Inclined ‘Mericans who Believe Russia Offers Traitorous Hicks an Ominous Oasis away from Democracy”?

It’s not some evil socialist Kenyan Muslim thing. It’s a self-deportation program made specifically for negro-fearing bigots like Santorum.

He should Google it.

Rick Santorum's Views on Church and State Make My Brain Vomit

Rick Santorum is such a nutbag that actual bags of nuts see him and are like, “Wha?!”

Today in “Rick Santorum is a nutbag” news, we have Santorum going even further off the religious deep end. Surprise!

On This Week with George Stephanopoulos, Santorum said that John F. Kennedy’s 1960 speech to the Baptist Ministers made him want to “throw up,” and that the separation of church and state likewise makes him want to throw up.  No seriously.  He said that.

Let’s take a look at what JFK said back in 1960 as he made his case that as a Catholic, he would not go off the religious deep-end and unleash some sort of papal theocracy: Continue reading

Santorum Calls Obama A Snob, Makes A Perfect Santorum Of Himself

Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum lit into President Obama at a Americans for Prosperity Tea Party event in Troy, Michigan over his advocacy for higher learning. “President Obama once said he wants everybody in America to go to college,” Santorum sniped. “What a snob!”

The crowd responded favorably to the former Pennsylvania Senator’s remarks, applauding and cheering to his putdown of the president.

“Not all folks are gifted in the same way. Some people have incredible gifts with their hands!” Santorum added. “There are good decent men and women who go out and work hard every day and put their skills to test that aren’t taught by some liberal college professor trying to indoctrinate them. Oh, I understand why he wants you to go to college. He wants to remake you in his image. I want to create jobs so people can remake their children into their image, not his.”

Obama wants everyone to have the ability to go to college if they wish.  That doesn’t make him a snob, that means he wants to empower the people, give them the tools to accomplish their goals.  Only a twit like Santorum can try to twist that into a bad thing.  Unless you believe those “liberal professors” might try to “indoctrinate” people with some facts.  We are reminded again that education is the enemy of those who prey on the ignorant.

Another day, another Santorum miracle.

Rick Santorum to Glenn Beck:

On the president’s efforts to boost college attendance, Santorum said, “I understand why Barack Obama wants to send every kid to college, because of their indoctrination mills, absolutely … The indoctrination that is going on at the university level is a harm to our country.”

He claimed that “62 percent of kids who go into college with a faith commitment leave without it,” but declined to cite a source for the figure.

What’s the miracle?

That there is apparently no end to the ways in which Rick Santorum can make me want to headdesk. Just when I thought I’d taken the measure of the man — Blah people are given other people’s money in the form of government handouts, abortion providers should be arrested, the Dutch kill old people for being old — he comes up with some damn new thing.

President Obama wants to indoctrinate our children with harmful, faithless notions — so he’s working to increase enrollment at colleges and universities.

I cannot with this guy. I just cannot.

Restoring America’s global standing – Rick Santorum edition.

Ride for your lives, Dutch ladies! Ride like the wind!

You know all the GOP palaver about how President Obama has wrecked America’s place in the World Cup of Global Domination and Awesome?

Here’s what people in the Netherlands are talking about these days, when they talk about America:

Rick Santorum’s invocation of a nightmare of mass murder of the elderly in the Netherlands has provoked a storm of incredulity and criticism in the Western European country, where the local press say his statistics are wildly inflated.

“Rick Santorum Thinks He Knows the Netherlands: Murder of the Elderly on a Grand Scale” is Saturday’s headline in the daily newspaper NRC Handelsblad.

Santorum Backer Yearns for Days When Women Used Aspirin as Contraception [updated]

Keep your legs closed, sluts.

Billionaire Foster Friess — the main donor to Santorum’s Super PAC — is a moron.  I mean, what does one even say in response to this kind of nonsense?

FRIESS: On this contraceptive thing, my gosh, it’s so inexpensive. You know, back in my days, they used Baer Aspirin for contraceptives. The gals put it between their knees and it wasn’t that costly.
