”Fake” Trayvon Martin picture circulates on the web; originates from neo-Nazis

I can’t even.

Good to know that Fox News, Michelle Malkin, Dana Loesch (good job CNN!) and the rest of the denizens of Wingnutopia are getting their news from a bunch of  neo-Nazis:

Over the weekend, a picture began circulating that claimed to show Martin in a less-than-flattering light: shirtless, sagging pants, and giving the finger to the camera.

The image quickly circulated across blogs and websites, with many claiming it as evidence that Martin was not as innocent as family and supporters claimed, as well as alleging media bias.

There is one problem to that claim: the picture is not Trayvon Martin.

As I pointed out on Saturday, these images are coming straight from the Breitbrats via Stormfront.

Over the weekend on Twitter, I asked a couple of Breitbrats about these photos. They kept accusing me of not wanting the “real pictures” of Trayvon to be released because it doesn’t “fit my narrative.”  They  spewed paranoid talking points about how the librul media is using lightened photos of Trayvon in order to make him seem more sympathetic. More innocent.  Yeah.  Marinate on that for a minute.

And, when I asked them where they got these photos, they would reply “a website” —  real vague-like. Breitbrat Dan Riehl claims to have gotten the photo (which he now admits is not a photo of Trayvon Martin) from “a reader” — real vague-like.

Look: if someone is circulating thug photos of Trayvon Martin, ask them where they got the photos.  If they say “a website” or “a reader” (as Dan Riehl and other brain-deficients have done) then I think it’s safe to assume they got the photos from Stormfront.

Post-racial America! Ain’t it grand?

It’s all I can do not to dump a bottle of single-malt over my head while screaming at the sky. I keep trying to make sense of these fail-clowns when there’s no sense to be made.  A racist mind is an addled mind.  I just need to stop thinking about it because my brain cannot process it when they desperately try to make the case that they’re not racist while being really fucking racist.

Serenity now.

No.

Serenity yesterday.

  1. Is there nothing that Dana Loesch can do to warrant a suspension from CNN.

In my opinion CNN is worse than Fox, because the average low information voter (called independent voters by the MSM) trusts them.

But, CNN is too afraid of being labeled as liberal or “in the tank” for Obama, that they go over the line in their deference to conservatives and Republicans.

The constant false equivalences let’s the truly guilty party off the hook. (usually the GOP)

  2. Even if that picture were of Trayvon Martin (which it so obviously is not unless you really think that all black people look alike), all it proves is that teen aged boys post stupid pictures on facebook. Last time I checked sagging pants and the finger still don’t warrant the death penalty.

  3. These asshats don’t think something is “truth” unless it makes black people look/sound scary and menacing.

I can’t even describe the rage and disgust I feel toward them.

    • I’ve noticed that as well. There’s a saying: If you want to see a bad example of a Black person, turn on the news. If you want to see a good example of a Black person, look out your window.

  4. So a teenage boy posts a goofy picture on Facebook and it justifies a deranged quasi-Latin white guy playing Batman and shooting him in the back? So, a young black woman being go-go dance justifies her being brutally raped by college jocks? Oh, wait, nevermind…..

God, I hate this country sometimes.

  5. You know, there’s something that happens fairly often on these here intertubes: somebody will claim something in a debate or an argument, and when asked why anybody else should believe it, will say some bullshit like, “Look, if you want to find out about this, then you go look it up. I’m not going to do your homework for you.” That just pisses me off no end, since it goes against all the rules of debating, to say nothing of plain old fair play. What they’re doing is asking their opponents to do their work for them. I’ve had people write this to me more than once in debates on this site or that one. Anyway, I bring this up because that’s what they’re doing here, though they’re being a little less open about it: “I got it from ‘a reader’. I found out about this on ‘a blog’. If you want to find out where, you go look it up. I’m not going to do your homework for you.” when people try that kind of shit, they give up any right to be taken seriously. They give up any right to the assumption that they’re behaving in good faith. It’s too bad so many news outlets aren’t willing to cut these llying assholes loose.

    • I know exactly what you’re saying. I used to post very regularly on another website, but finally decided to just stay away from it because it became populated with people like that — they spew something out, I ask them for the source (other than their opinion) and they tell ME to go look up sources for it. Um no, if one is going to make an argument, it is the responsibility of the person making the argument to present supporting facts for that argument. It’s not my job, or anyone else’s job, to find their facts for them. And most likely, there ARE no facts to find, but I’m not going on some wild goose chase to support some tool whose only facts come from their backside.

      • I know exactly what you mean, I get that nonsense all the time. It’s why I gave up on most internet debate sites – no one backs up their grandiose claims, but expect you to do it for them. Click my name to see an article I wrote about that very subject a few years back.

      • Don’t forget this one: “You lack the imagination.” This one I found to be used when you ask free-market anarchists how the heck their utopia would work in the real world. Because you should think up your own answers instead constantly asking them.

  6. Here is what I posted on my blog;

Dan Riehl linked a facebook account of a Trayvon Martin. The account includes a photo a young black man which proved, to conservatives, Martin was a gang-banger. When multiple people pointed out it wasn’t the same Trayvon, Riehl countered, It doesn’t appear to be the same Trayvon Martin. But I’m still not sure. It’s still linked.

Conservatism is fake Performance Art. It’s all designed to provide cover for the Alternate Conservative Reality. But, in so doing they’ve unleashed their barely contained sub-surface bigotry.

The facebook photo linked by Riehl made it over to Moonbattery and to numerous other right-wing blogs.

Some say this is a different Trayvon Martin who just happens to look similar. As with everything else with this case, we’ll have to wait for the smoke to clear before we know for sure.

Oh, it may not be the same young black kid? Oh well, it’s close enough for us. Guilty until Proven Innocent in Right-Wing eyes.

    • “Guilty until Proven Innocent in Right-Wing eyes.”
Yeah, but only if you’re black. If you’re the one who shot the black guy, then, hey, let’s not leap to any unwarranted conclusions, right? Let’s give him the benefit of the doubt. The killer surely feared for his life, and justifyably so: he was shooting a nigger, after all, and if that isn’t scaaaaaaaaary, then I don’t know what is.
(Let me say that I’m not trying to piss anybody off by using that word; but I think sometimes it’s important to get the point across. I happen to think that liberals should be willing to speak and write that word, as a way to turn it around and use it as a weapon, for once, against the people who’ve wielded it for 100 years. I’ll also say, though, that, 1., I’m a white guy, and, 2., this isn’t my blog, so I guess it isn’t really my place to choose whether to use it or not. So if I’ve upset anybody, then I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to, but if I did, then my good intentions are no excuse. And if I’m out of line here, I hope you’ll take this comment off the thread.)

  7. please remove the quotation marks from the word “fake” in the title. since it is indeed fake, let’s call it for what it is.

    • the only reason i left it in quotes is because apparently it is a photo of a trayvon martin, just not the one in question.

  8. Wow, Zimmerman’s lawyer was supposed to be on Lawrence O’Donnell’s show tonight, and he turned tail and ran just before the show started. I guess the chickenshit would rather just stay behind the scenes and help promote the ugliness that the right is putting out about Trayvon Martin.

    Disgusting!

    • unbelievable.

      • Makes me wonder if he’s ever tried a case in an actual court of law. If so, did he turn tail and run when the prosecution started to pour the heat on?

    • Is he actually Zimmerman’s lawyer though? I keep hearing about a ‘legal adviser’ and of course, his black friend making the rounds defending him but is this guy really working for him?

    • You’re telling us he didn’t “stand his ground” when he had the chance to defend Zimmerman? Interesting.

  9. It’s nice to see that the Soulless Bastard is doing his part for the Racial Holy War. It’s consistent with his Soulless Bastardry.

  10. Sometimes I wonder if it’s just time to give up on htis country. I was reading this piece in the Miami paper (http://www.miamiherald.com/2012/03/26/2714778_p2/thousands-expected-at-trayvon.html#disqus_thread), which tells a lot about Trayvon Martin, and does it fairly, I think. He was overall a good guy, but, like anyboy else, he made some mistakes and screwed up sometimes. As I said, it was a good piece. Then, against my own better judgement, I waded into the racist cesspool that is comments on newspaper sites. I really want to give up sometimes. The hatred and willful ignorance and viciousness and willful ignorance and gleefulness at the chance to shit all over a dead young man’s name–and, oh, did I say willful ignorance?–are almost too much to deal with. I hope some of you will brave getting the shit all over your metaphorical shoes and all over your not so metaphorical souls to write at least a few thoughtful, fair things on that site about Martin and this whole sad, sorry mess. I wrote one or two things before it got to be too much for me. I think, though, that we all ought to do what we can on sites like that to fight the racism and hatred and, oh, yeah, the willful ignorance. Maybe if enough of us weighed in often enough, well, maybe we could at least drown out some of the ugliness with sheer numbers. A nice fantasy, at least…

  11. [Comment deleted. Go back to Stormfront. -ABL]

  12. We need a “Report as racist/abusive/unworthy of humanity” button on these posts.

    • seriously, dude. i’ve been fending off these assholes all weekend.

white supremacists are so fucking boring.

“I know what I’ll do. I’ll go to that black bitch’s blog and throw down the word nigger. That’ll learn her.”

Sing a new tune, assholes. The nigger-jew song is one-note.

      Cheers!

      • “I’d like to teach racists to sing…in perfect harmoneeee…”

No, not really. But I do have a vision of them now, all lined up in their white robes, doing scales.

      • I said the minions got their (goose-step) marching orders this weekend-go to progressive black blogs and smear Trayvon Martin’s name. It’s like I heard someone post before-if Emmitt Till happened today, Fox News and CNN would have guests lined up to tell why he deserved it.

  13. Prohibition is taking 20 to 50 lives a day. Nice to see one boy get all the attention. Hundreds of boys have gone down since then.

BTW this whole case is a serious blow to Black-Hispanic solidarity. Shame.

  14. I’m a female bodybuilder & must be dumb because when I saw the picture, my first thought was “I’d have had a better chance of fighting off Zimmerman than that skinny little kid.”

  15. Are they suggesting that Trayvon Martin deserved to be shot because he has a picture where he’s shirtless, with sagging pants and a trucker hat? Really?

  16. are we saying that even if Zimmerman was fallowing Martin and was told to stop that it gave Martin the right to jump him and Zimmerman not the right to defend ?racists come in all colors
they dont seem to mind smeering Zimmermans name eather about his past and for me i think it is very sad a kid died and i dont no what happend but this mob rule mantality is shurly not gonna help bring him back wait till all the evidance is out people none of you were thair to even no eather jezzzz!!!!!

    • are we saying that even if Zimmerman was fallowing Martin and was told to stop that it gave Martin the right to jump him and Zimmerman not the right to defend

Actually, I’d say if a sexual predator was following Martin, Martin would have every right to defend.

Don’t forget Martin’s right of self defense.

    • “Wait till all the evidence is out” would be splendid advice, had the police department in charge of this case not declined to arrange for the evidence to be presented in court.

Also, you can’t spell for shit.

      • “Also, you can’t spell for shit.”

Seems to be a common problem amongst the recent influx of Zimmerman apologists.

        Interesting development:

ABC is reporting the lead investigator in the Martin case didn’t believe Zimmerman’s story and thought he should be charged with at least manslaughter but the prosecutor said there wasn’t enough evidence.

If true, they decided THAT NIGHT without doing any, or hardly any, investigation and let him go home with most of the forensic evidence that will never be available.

        Wowser!!

    • Ugh….@ White Boy… The fact that you expect both complete and uncorrupted evidence to appear in this specific case is so white American of you. My stress hormones are simmering down now just thinking about what it must be like to have the expectation of fairness and justice granted to you via the unearned privilege you possess!

    • SHAME indeed!

That’s quite a nice accumulation of BASH OBAMA quotes and links you posted there.

Oh, and I especially recoiled at the pic of the President as Hitler.

      AMEN

      • Maybe it’s because I’m over tired but I can’t tell if you’re agreeing with the bashing or wanting to show how bad it is.

        If the latter, apologies.

  17. I can’t help thinking of something similar when Bill O’Riley got one look of a missing teen (who was kidnapped for years by a sexual predator), saw that he had a nose piercing and then started acting like the kid (I forgot his name) was a delinquent who allowed himself to be sexually abused so he wouldn’t have to go to school. Yet he defended Elizabeth Smart (who was in a similar situation), then again, she was an attractive, blond White girl.

In a way, things haven’t changed much.
