Jesus take the wheel
Seriously. Just take the wheel and drive the car into a tree:
During a segment about new rules regarding women in the military, Fox News contributor Liz Trotta attacked the Department of Defense for increasing spending on support programs for victims of sexual assault. Trotta also reacted to a Pentagon report showing a 64% increase in violent sexual assaults since 2006 by stating: “Well, what did they expect? These people are in close contact.”
Trotta began by claiming “we have women once more, the feminist, going, wanting to be warriors and victims at the same time” and later added that feminists “have also directed them, really, to spend a lot of money. They have sexual counselors all over the place, victims’ advocates, sexual response coordinators. … you have this whole bureaucracy upon bureaucracy being built up with all kinds of levels of people to support women in the military who are now being raped too much.“
Ugh. Women. Always with the complaining and the playing the victim: “Don’t rape me! I’m being raped too much! Give me equal rights! I want to have control over my body and sexuality! Wah wah wah!”
We’re so high-maintenance.
And by the way, if I were a man in the military, I would be insulted that Ms. Trotta holds me in such low esteem. As @AmakaWho noted:
@angryblacklady @iboudreau Basically she is saying all men in uniform are rapists or potential rapists. She owes our troops an apology.

Indeed.

A Facebook friend has a post up on how Republican women need to realize that they’re in an abusive relationship with their political party.
Simple and true.
This insanity by Trotta is just about the strangest thing I’ve heard.
Raped too much? As I put it in another comment thread:
What. The. Proverbial. Fuck…
Unless she means “once” by that I have to question her sanity every bit as much as her judgment. And somehow, I find that difficult to believe, because “once” and “too much” aren’t even close to being spelled the same, nor do they rhyme.
THIS.
Um, Liz? Women in the military have ALWAYS been “raped too much”, because the permissible amount of rape is ZERO.
DING!
The women in my extended family who are the most fervent supporters of the GOP are also the ones who have had the most abusive relationships — physically, psychologically, financially — with men. I think they’ve bought the line that the “tough” guys who hurt you and take your money are the only ones worth having in your life. Sad.
Not that Dems aren’t capable of creepy behavior — but going by the small sample in my family circle, the feminist women are the ones who walk when the abuse begins.
I don’t understand how Liz Trotta’s mind works, and I don’t want to. Either she was just aiming for getting attention, or there’s something sociopathologically wrong with her. (OK, I admit that both could be possible.)
She portrays women as objects to be used and abused, and portrays men as crazed subhumans. I don’t like to be reminded that there are apparently-damaged people around who think like that. It makes me queasy.
This is the same reprehensible pile of Wombat Puke who laughed about assassinating then-Senator Obama in 2008: http://www.politico.com/blogs/michaelcalderone/0508/Fox_analyst_apologizes_for_Obama_assassination_joke.html
Somehow I’m not sure vomiting wombats would be anything other than offended by that comparison.
Point taken!
This sorry excuse for a female woman’s words are so disgusting & insulting to our military & to men and women in general that I believe she is truly deranged.
As the survivor of sexual assault, I am glad that Ms. Trotta has never been the victim of rape, because it is a truly horrible crime. How do I know she’s never been victimized? Because there is no way that anyone who has ever been through the trauma of an assault would ever be able to say things like this.
Rape is a crime for a reason. It dehumanizes and it scars. Being raped is what MADE me a feminist. It was the only way I could find to take back some of the power that had been stripped from me. Being feminist helped me become whole again. It is not a word to be mocked … it is a word to be respected, because it demands respect for over half of the population of this world Ms. Trotta lives in.
And in closing, Ms. Trotta . . . you are a daft cunt. Please stop talking until you can say something far better than this bile you’re currently spewing.
please don’t rape us = radical feminism.
I can’t take it anymore.
I had a thought that perhaps some of the increase in sexual assault reported after 2006 might possibly be connected to mercenary groups out sourced & not subject to the same code of conduct expected of our military.
Just a thought and some things I read about women being abused by such groups.
My daughter is in the Navy. Does that make her a rapist?
Posted this in asiangrrlMN’s thread on Trotta, but it’s worth repeating: just imagine the reaction if Hillary Clinton or Elizabeth Warren had said, in effect, “all men are naturally rapists, incapable of self-control”.
