I think I am alone in thinking this was a bunch of unrelated snips that had Clint Eastwood taking himself too seriously. I thought the Eminem one was much better. Now the fat dog one; that was hilarious!
Might be, though what he’s expressing here is anything but ‘bagger sentiments.
If I somehow found myself working on President Obama’s re-election campaign, I think I’d be referencing this…oh, a few times here and there over the next few months.
It’s funny how a commercial about Americans coming together to pull through tough times is seen by Republicans as being Pro-Obama/Anti-Republican. What does that say about them? As if we don’t already know.
I must be weird because when I saw that ad, I thought it was just a “pull yourself up by your bootstraps, you lazy fuckers, like Detroit did” ad. There was no mention at all of the fact that the Detroit auto industry would basically not exist without Obama’s very successful bail-out. I found the ad to be very strong in American Exceptionalism myth and very weak in reality.
Wow, they didnt take long to unleash the trolls to take a shit on that commercial, didnt it?
The conservatives are gonna be pissing in their nighties tonight

It made my day!

I’m a sucker for this kind of thing, I admit it.
But I did like the weight-loss dog.
Pretty damn pro, especially since Clint is a teabagger-type.

And @ Ben Cisco – it’s back up.
I thought the teabagger was Chuck Norris.
Seriously overrated fucker.
Well, he was a decent karate fighter. As an actor, I don’t think he could persuade me he was warm even if you set his pant leg on fire.
And I got this from another poster’s sig-line on a Chicago Cubs fan blog:
Q) Why did Chuck Norris cross the road?
A) Ditka. (Not that he’s in any way admirable himself.)
Who’s afraid of Detroit?Apparently, the NFL? (they had the video pulled the video from YouTube, yet left all the others up)
Oh Mittens….

He only wanted to raid the company. He’s a legitmate businessman!
Apparently, Karl Rove was offended by the ad:

Such delicate sensibilities these Republicans have. What can we to to protect these fragile hothouse flowers?
