Jon Walker, who has been desperately searching for material with which to bash the Obama Administration, is apparently not having much luck. Last week, he dredged up the thoroughly-debunked “Obama killed the public option” narrative.
This week, he’s decided to gloat that a Kaiser Family Foundation poll shows that favorability for the bill has dropped from 44% to 37%. Hooray! Right, y’all?!
So to be clear — Rather than touting the portions of the bill that will benefit Americans, and explaining to “progressives” what’s in the bill, the assclowns at Firedoglake prefer to push right-wing memes. Classic.
Bottom line: The bill helps people. It will help me. It has helped my friend karoli (of Crooks & Liars). It helped a woman who, after being diagnosed with breast cancer realized the bill had saved her life, and wrote an op-ed for the Los Angeles Times apologizing to President Obama for, essentially, falling prey to the bullshit narratives that are the bread and butter at Firedoglake.
You should be explaining the bill to people, Jon — not crowing that more people view it unfavorably than previously. And maybe — just maybe — if you and your FiredogCrew hadn’t spent the last two years trashing the PPACA, more people would understand what’s in it and would view it favorably.
Shame on you.
