Sometimes the truth just leaps out. These idiots want Obama to be like George Bush with his unitary executive nonsense, rather than the head of one branch of three co equal branches of government. Tea Baggers masquerading as liberal progressive democrats. I’ve come to loathe them as much, or more than the original wingnut tea partiers. That don’t whine about hippie punching when you challenge their bullshit.
It’s going to be a long and exhausting election cycle, having to defend attacks from your side as well as from the other side. Think I’ll just chuck defending and go on the attack myself. The best offense is a good offense.
I’m focusing on having fun, slashing and burning when necessary, and avoiding endless debate with assholes who are never going to change their minds no matter how many facts you jam down their throat.
Yesterday on Joy Reid’s post on Fareed Zakaria at The Reid Report, someone actually said something about at least people didn’t get tortured or illegally held past the duration of the war — THEY SAID THIS ABOUT JAPANESE INTERNMENT.

Holy crap did someone just correctly identify Obama as a “left of center pragmatist?” Too bad he has a funny name as well so it’ll be hard to get the beltway media to buy it. Even if the guy is the editor of Time.
I read Weston’s article and read the interview.
I am afraid that what Weston wants to happen cannot and willnot take place. Te country does not have the working majority necessary for that to occur. For what he wants to occur would take a national emergency.
Weston is, also, psychologizing a complete stranger. A very easy thing to do. I do not know Obama; I will not affect to know him. Weston does just that: affect to know Obama.
There are a lot of symbolic issues floating around. The deficit and the debt are one of those issues.
I just want to give the White House website a shout out for having the most kick-ass live video streaming anywhere. Watching Presidential events there is quite enjoyable.
General Stuck, for myself: if it does not make sense, I do not believe it; if it does not make sense, I do not do it. The fact that someone shows up on the internet and writes any old thing, I am not going to believe it. It has to be logical/factual for it to be credible to me. That includes someone such as Weston.
I thought he got some great questions at that Q&A. Thought he gave some great answers, too.
