Relatedly, I’m in DC this evening, and suffice it to say, the city is going wild.

According to anonymous administration officials the assassination of bin Laden took place Friday and they were waiting for DNA results.
What this guy heard was the crash of a Pakistani military helicopter. There are reports of gunfire beforehand raising the possibility that it was a retaliatory attack by militants.

So much for anonymous sources. The raid did take place Sunday according to Obama himself.
That was indeed crazy. Whatever that guy was hearing, he was hearing while the raid was occuring and that by itself is CRAZY.
