ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?!
Why are they1 trying to make us stupid?
Someone stop this train. I want to get off. I SAID I’M GETTING OFF.
1 I don’t know who “they” are, but I hate them.

Sadly, as near as I have been able to tell, they are not making us stupid, a large fraction if not a majority are already there. They’re just aiming at their target market.
Sigh…
I keep telling everyone that “Idiocracy” is a documentary.
Sigh…
Amen. I see the signs everywhere.
“Make us stupidER”?
Where have you been for the last 20 years?
Don’t even get me started on those “800-lb gorilla in the room” ads. It’s the ELEPHANT in the room, hello? The 800-lb gorilla is a whole different idiom. There’s another ad now where one of the regular people interviewed talks about the “white elephant in the room.” Ugh, a “white elephant” is yet another different thing. Stupid.
I apologize to all the Teatards whose scrambled diction I mock so mercilessly on Twitter. Apparently they actually work for ad agencies.
Gain missed their target audience. 70% of farm employees are immigrants. “Buenoer”? I feel a Palin comer on…
Yeah, but real farmers aren’t their target audience. That audience would be
1. Older white people
2. who believe they have a lot in common with farmers
3. and listen to Warrant.
And yeah, Idiocracy was my first thought too. This was only reinforced by the fact that the slogan for this campaign is apparently “Sniff Sniff Hooray.”
oh my. I am white middle aged, not a farmer. I am usually a mouse. I find it frighteningly but humorously strange that his commercial has triggered a RAGE in me, enough for me to google search “gain gooder” at 3 am. I LOVE your response, it is the BEST!!!!!!! My first thought was, are they trying to out-cute Sarah Palin? And there it is, Sarah Palin “evokations”, in another response above. Who would have thought that “gooder” would instigate a free association (a chain of mental anguish, as it were) to Sarah Palin?
Thank you for the laugh and the dose of sanity. Really. :-) :-) :-)
Holly… are you me? I was surfing around the Internet in the wee hours of the morning when a video played this ad. After a few stunned blinks (and a resolution to go straight to bed), I immediately searched “gain gooder.” There is really a ton of negative feedback about this ad, which is hilarious… and pretty encouraging, too! Hooray for humanity, I guess!
The funny thing is — and maybe I’m being too generous to our corporate overlords — but I would’ve been totally fine with this if the commercial said, “Bill’s *good* mornings have never been gooder.” I could have accepted that! Because then it would have clearly been a cutesy (if stupid) play on words, as opposed to a genuine grammatical mistake or a deliberate insult to our intelligence.
Gooder — up there with anywayS and allS. Ugh.
This makes me stabby!! I made my husband rewind the commercial just to make sure I’d heard it correctly. Now I want to punch somebody. I’m also a believer in the “Idiocracy is a documentary” theory. Apparently, Mike Judge came back in time to show us what we were headed for. Unfortunately, we are powerless to stop it. :(
Letter campaign to boycott the maker of Gain Detergent for
“gooder” ad?
Who makes Gain? To whom can we protest?
Allan, it’s over a year overdue but…you’re a total ass.
Liberals…they should all be drowned at birth.
Sure, you get to that baby drownin’, Herod.
Seriously, you go into a year-old post to whine about someone and then go on about killing liberals? Don’t you have other things to do with your time?
Allan sure must have some strong urine or so it would seem as he apparently peed in someone’s wheaties a year ago and they’re still holding a grudge over it.
