Personhood CO: This Advertisement for the Colorado Abortion Ban Amendment is BANANAS!

Scare tactics much?

I agree with this lady, even though she can't spell for shit.

Jesus, Mary and/or Joseph.  This is absolute INSANITY:

Personhood Colorado is a radical right-wing anti-choice organization supporting Amendment 62 on the ballot this November, which if passed, would define a fertilized egg as a “person,” thus essentially outlawing abortion in the state. Personhood CO has put out some disturbing ads in support of the amendment, particularly one radio ad likening abortion to slavery.

Amendment 62 would ban all abortions, without exceptions for rape, incest or to save a mother’s life. It also would ban stem cell research and birth control other than ‘barrier methods.’” Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards said the amendment “reaches into birth control, it reaches into fertility treatments. The legal turmoil this could create is so immense. I think that’s just the purpose of this amendment…to go far beyond choice; it’s to take away women’s right to family planning.”

Check out this ad.  You’d think the end of days was nigh.  Obama is the Angel of Death!  EVERYBODY PICNICK!!!!11

If you click this link, you can read about Alan Keyes’s involvement in this Personhood CO fuckery, including an ad featuring a Generic Black-Sounding Person likening abortion to SLAVERY, and talking about “pre-born babies.”  What the hell is a pre-born baby?!

By the way, why the hell would anyone listen to Alan “Obama is a Kenyan” Keyes?  Seriously?

My brain hurts.

  1. Seriously. That music is incredibly “doomsday”. Jeebus. I wonder if these people feel like a nut (or a testicle) today.

    I can’t imagine this passing.

  2. Ah yes, fighting for the “preborn.” And the slavery comparison, I’ve heard that before, which is interesting because I hear it mainly from the same sort of white people who keep saying black people should “get over” slavery and who accuse them of “playing the race card” when they mention the relevance of race to any issue.

The argument that abortion providers target black women as a form of racial genocide is also incredibly insulting specifically to black women. You’re not smart enough or independent-minded enough to make decisions on your own–you’re having it foisted on you by mean old white men!

  3. I care about the healt of my body! Keep your laws out of my overies!

Get it? OVER-ies? Whatever it’s Thursday & I’ve already checked out for the week. Anyway, Colorado needs to get on the stick and shut this down.

  4. Carlin said it best… Most of the people against abortion are people you wouldn’t want to fuck in the first place.

  5. I heard they were also going to add a provision whereas if a virgin breaks her hymen by exercise of any kind that she can be charged with her own rape.

What? Too far? These people don’t know the meaning of “too far” anyway. Why should that stop ME?

    • What’s she doing exercising anyway? How does she have time when she’s supposed to be cooking, scrubbing the floors, seein to the young’uns…

  6. I sort of glazed over, but I DID take away that Nixon was pro-choice. I guess he’d have to be with a nickname like Tricky Dick. Hey-oh!
