Whoopi Goldberg doesn't think Mel Gibson is racist.

Come on now, Whoopi.  You’ve got to be kidding me.

In Mel Gibson’s tirade at his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva, he said to her, “I hope you get raped by a pack of niggers.” That is the worst thing that he could think of to say –that she be raped, and that it be by a pack (like animals) of black guys.  (I can’t say that word again.)

And this after his anti-Semitic tirade of a few years ago for which you also defended him.  So you’re going to vouch for him — some asshole who used a derogatory word used to describe you and your kids — because he’s your friend and he’s been in your house?  What the crap?!

“I know Mel, and I know he’s not a racist,” Whoopi said on ‘The View’ on Monday, seeming both earnest and cautious to weigh in. “I have had a long friendship with Mel. You can say he’s being a bonehead, but I can’t sit and say that he’s a racist having spent time with him in my house with my kids. I don’t like what he’s done, make no mistake.”

Usually racists aren’t gonna be all racist right up in your face.  I mean, come the fuck on.  Just because you had a racist over at your house hanging out with your kids doesn’t mean he’s not racist.  It just means he was hiding it.  I mean, seriously.  Who the hell says something like that?

Oh, and also?  Threatening to kill your ex-girlfriend is not being a bonehead.  It’s being a psychopath.
